Anyone planning a bachelorette trip to Scottsdale? Or maybe just a girls weekend? Regardless of WHY you’re going to Scottsdale, odds are you really aren’t too familiar with the area and are desperately texting distant friends for recs. Well, look no further. We visited Scottsdale twice this past year for both a bachelorette trip and standard girls’ weekend and we’re ready to spill all the hot spots!

To Stay

First things first: where to stay! This is obviously important and there are a few ways you can swing it. We stayed in a hotel one trip and an AirBNB the other. If you’re going on a bachelorette, AirBNB is the way to go. Small girl’s trip? The hotels are stunning.

Camelback Inn – you’ll truly get the AZ feel here, there is a great view from the bar and pool, plus Ubers are only a few minutes away.

The Scott Resort – walkable to bars and restaurants and SO chic, you’ve for sure seen this on Instagram at some point.

The Phoenician – we didn’t stay here but have heard nothing but amazing things.

AirBNB – this is the one we stayed in, convenient, clean, spacious, and trendy. Plus there is an amazing backyard and pool. This is the move for a bachelorette trip!

Note: there are a TON of amazing hotels and AirBNBs but these are the ones we can vouch for. If you want to stray from these recs, highly recommend staying nearby one of these.

Food

The food in Scottsdale is delicious. There are a ton of great spots here, but these are the ones we’ve tried and love.

SumoMaya Delicious sushi, drinks + fun DJ. A must before a night out. Tip: Get. The. Guac.

Culinary Dropout This came highly recommended by everyone. Didn’t disappoint. Great for groups.

Diego Pops – Do not sleep on Diego Pops. The brussel sprout nachos are to die for. Also, SO cute with delicious drinks.

Prep & Pastry – Adorable brunch spot. Great location. The açaí yogurt bowl was incredible if you’re looking for a lighter option.

Olive & Ivy – We went for brunch but have heard dinner is delicious. Great location. The service was amazing as well.

The Mission – THE Mexican recommendation.

The Canal Club at The Scott Resort – Odds are this is another one you’ve probably seen on Instagram. So cute, delicious food, and great post-brunch drinks. Serious vibes here.

Going Out

The W – Midtown is not only a great hotel but a great event space! We hosted our Almost Roaring 20’s Halloween Party and our recent Christmas Cocktail Party in the incredibly beautiful and luxurious Living Room, just a step from the hotel lobby. Check out the photos below from our latest event in this space by Alex Carlton Mille

Odds are you’ll go out once or twice while in Scottsdale – especially if you’re there for a bachelorette trip. Here are our faves plus some extras:

The Hot Chick Okay, so we came here for a Sunday Funday and had the best time. For sure a party scene, but a bit trendier than some of the other recs we had. Highly recommend it, their fried chicken looked insane and bonus: buckets of White Claws were super cheap.

Whiskey Row Important you know this is going to come highly recommended, but it is absolutely a college frat scene – and that’s cool if that’s what you’re in the mood for. Worth scouting out this area for at least one night.

Shade Lounge at The W Pool Party – We didn’t do this as it didn’t fit the schedule or season, but we hear great things.

Geisha a Go Go We rented a room for karaoke one night before going out and had the BEST time. They have sushi if you want to eat then sing or sing then eat. We surprised the bride with this and would do it 100x over again.

Activities

Okay, so maybe you aren’t visiting for a wild and crazy weekend, and trust us, we respect that. So here are some of the activities we did on the more low-key weekend trip:

Hike CamelbackThere are a TON of trails in Scottsdale, but Camelback is the name we heard the most. It was relatively easy, there were kids and families hiking alongside. Note: it’s not a walk in the park, so maybe don’t hit up Whiskey Row the night before.

Spas – Scottsdale is known for spas and if you’re up for treating yourself, you should for sure take advantage of one. We made a stop by The Scott Resort for a massage which gave us access to the resort for the rest of the day. Have heard great things about The Phoenician spa as well.

ATV Tour – We didn’t end up doing this as it was a bit pricey for the bachelorette trip and too hot outside for the other trip. But this looks like so much fun and we’d love to try next visit.

Jeep Tour A little less expensive than the ATV Tour but still gets major cool points. Again, this is something we’d love to try next time.

At-Home Brunch – For the bachelorette trip, we had 12 girls and wanted to do a catered brunch one morning. This was amazing! The girls loved staying in PJs for the morning and the food by Chef Sasha was delicious!

There you have it, ladies

That’s our guide to Scottsdale. You’re sure to love this place, plus we’ve found it’s reasonably priced and Uber is oh so easy. Have questions or other recs? Leave them below!
