Hey gals! We started our Ladies Who Lunch event series about a year ago with the goal of spotlighting cool, local restaurants while simultaneously spotlighting a local lady or two on a panel!
This time, we teamed up with the most beautiful spot in Downtown Alpharetta: Lapeer Seafood Market. It is such a dreamy space, and the food is truly divine! Plus, we got a taste of their recently launched Happy Hour menu equipped with delicious cocktails + bites.
As for panelists, we had Liz Webber (PR Director of Dress Up) + Andrea Knight (Marketing and Philanthropic Manager at Kendra Scott). We chatted with these ladies about how to build + maintain a strong community, working with influencers, and all things marketing + PR.
Read on to see what this event was all about and get a recap of our panel.
THE SPACE
You know we love a good instagrammable moment. Lapeer did not disappoint in that realm. I mean, how gorgeous is this space?! We were swooning the whole time. Felt like we were in a California bungalow right in downtown Alpharetta!
FOOD + DRINK
Happy hour during lunch? Yes, please! Lapeer graced us with their delicious HH menu for this Ladies Who Lunch. Think fried shrimp, $1 oysters, fish dip, etc. A seafood lover’s dream! From their regular menu, we tried the Lobster Roll and it was nothing short of incredible. As for the drinks, the mojito smash and john all-daly won us over.
The panel
Liz and Andrea gave us great advice on building + maintaining connections, marketing on a budget, how to work with influencers and more. See below for 2 key takeaways from our chat!
- It’s super important to make genuine connections from the get-go. When developing business connections, always try to focus on how you can build a connection (almost like a relationship!). Building meaningful relationships is key to creating a strong network of people you can reach out to whether it be for business purposes or even for personal. Try to attend as many networking events you can each month to meet new people!
- Utilize your local influencers! These influencers do NOT need to be big! They just need to be someone who speaks to your customer. Also, think outside of the box and work with similar companies that reach the same market as you. Do a pop-up at their location, have them come to yours, do giveaways on each other’s social, etc.
There you have it, ladies
We hope you love our LWL series as much as we do. ‘Till next time! Let us know where we should host our next Ladies Who Lunch and who you’d like to hear from!
