In true Girl Gang fashion, we knew we had to throw a launch party to celebrate and give our gals ALL the tools they need to land their dream gig. We partnered with Urban Pines Creative House to host an event consisting of a Panel on how to set yourself apart in competitive job market, headshots, résumé reviews, styling tips, and more. Read on to learn more about this unforgettable event!
The night began with networking and a refreshing array of Spindrift. MCM Rent Shop truly outdid themselves with the coziest setup outside the studio to make everyone feel comfortable and cozy upon arrival. Seriously, this place was an Instagramer’s HEAVEN. Urban Pines had a photographer snapping headshots for the gals! New LinkedIn pic, who dis?
Inside, we kept the Spindrift flowing with a Raspberry Lime cocktail made with 404 Vodka from Local Vine! Oh, and of course some delicious bites from gusto! to top it off. You can’t go wrong with their Chipotle Mango Avocado bowl! No joke, our team went to eat there again the next day – it was that good!
Panel time! Our panelists spoke on how to nail that interview and snag your dream job. The panel was moderated by Urban Pine’s own Creative Director Taylor Conrod who asked questions that sparked insightful conversation. We got some great job hunting tips from Suheil Guzman, Technical Recruiter at Pandora Music and résumé help from Nicole Bragg, Senior Coordinator at Chick-fil-A. Of course, we had Blakely Shultz, the founder of Urban Pines, bringing allll the girl boss vibes that evening. We also had Rae Strickland with makeup, hair and outfit inspo to crush your interview. It’s easy to say that everyone who came, including ourselves, left inspired and motivated to get out there and chase their dreams.
Go Get Hired, Girl!
Wow! What an amazing event filled with knowledge, motivation, empowerment and the start of new friendships, of course. We learned so many valuable things at this event and hope you did too. Ladies, go change the world and land that dream job of yours!
