In case you missed it, we attended the Truist Atlanta Open presented by Fiserv. Our team loves a good sporting event, especially when it involves socializing, good food, and cocktails. So this year, we jumped at the chance to attend.
Although we’ve lived in Atlanta for a few years now, this is something that we had missed out on year after year despite seeing it on IG time and time again. Mark our words: we won’t miss it next year! Read on for why:
The Food + Drink
We attended the match on Wine Wednesday – which was not by accident. Thankful for Kim Crawford and their rosé as it was a great way to kick off the night.
In addition to the wine, we sipped on refreshing cocktails from the beverage tents. Near one of the bars, they had live music which was a lovely addition to the experience.
Throughout the week, they have the most delicious local food options as well. Luckily, we went on the night that Umi joined in on the fun so we were also able to enjoy sushi and pad thai in our tent.
The Tennis
We won’t lie, we’re not tennis pros. But there was something about being there that makes you want to become one. Despite not knowing a ton about the sport, we really enjoyed watching while sipping on our cocktails. As we mentioned, we’re big sporting events fans and part of that is simply socializing and experiencing new things with friends! Bonus: the view of Midtown from the stands was hard to beat.
